Question regarding Window 8.1 Dual Booting

Hey guys, I've a pre-installed Window 8.1 but wanted to use Window 7 as well. If I would to install Windows 7, will it affect those software I installed on Windows 8.1? (Like compatibility issues)

No. You can either set up to dual boot or run 7 in a VM. Neither will affect your Windows 8.1.

Any would do what you want (probably). I find VMs easier than dual boot.

If you reinstall windows 7, after Windows 8, you will revert to the windows 7 boot manager.
Best way, imo, is to make a an image of Windows 8.1 (Macrium will do it). Install Windows 7 and then replace the image. - done
It will not.in any way, affect the software you have installed , but you will have to reinstall all of it for the new installation.
