Problem with desktop Icons

Hello,
My desktop icons have disappeared and I don't know how to get them back.
So I have been using dual monitoring a lot lately (using my Tv as my second monitor). I turned on my pc today and my desktop icons were gone. I did some research alone and everything I have read to fix this was to 1. right click 2. click view 3. click "show desktop icons." I did all this and realized that the button was already on. I tried clicking it on and off with no luck. I tried restarting my computer and no luck. What is even weirder is when I set my TV up to be my second monitor, the icons appeared on my 2nd monitor (TV) but still not on my pc. Does anyone know how I can get my icons back on my desktop?

Right click on desktop and make sure you have as shown:

Try right click on Desktop then Sort by name? Maybe they are showing off the screen somehow.

I don't understand. Do you keep the same icons on both pc and tv? If you see them on the tv cant you drag them over? To make sure you are seeing all icons, enable both displays and then set it to use only the pc display (right click desktop/screen resolution)
