The software has been working fine for months, but now it freezes at startup with multiple instances of its Network Monitor II and System Monitor II gadgets. I have been trying to resolve that all day along, but nothing.

1st try: Uninstall >> Run CCleaner >> Reboot >> Reinstall

2nd try: Uninstall >> Run CCleaner >> Reboot >> Run CCleaner >> Reboot >> Reinstall

3rd try: System Restore >> Reboot >> Message: "System Restore could not be finished : Error"

4th try: Live without the software - OK

All tries to resolve the odd bug , except the 4th one, failed !!!
What file may be keeping the bad configuration data?

Thanks in advance.

I did a fresh format and install of Windows 8 64 Bit Pro. Sorry but I couldn't live without a start button so I have installed the Start8 start menu which is great. I try sometimes not to use it but find metro frustrating to find programs as I have many. I will use Metro for apps only and desktop of serious computing.
Hey, tonymarcus: many thanks for the heads-up on the new version. I use 8GadgetPack and the last version I saw was version 8.

How are you getting on with version 10, mine is sometimes crashing at start up and recently my PC is freezing at the metro screen after booting, I think it might be version 10 causing this. Any problems on your machine?

Thanks
