Printer icon in notification area diasppeared

Hello,

The printer icon in notification area (while printing something) has disappeared, so I can't open the printer box where you can see what's currently being printer, what's next to be printed etc.
I tried to search for it but I haven't found out how to bring it back

Try clicking Ctrl+P buttons.

Hi, thank you, but this is not the window I am talking about, I am talking about the window that pops up after you press print, the window that shows the printing queues and stuff

Hi,
You can go to Control Panel, Hardware and sound, Devices and Printers and then double click your Printer, hope that helps.

Thanks, I just went there and found the window I was looking for: in my printer the window I am looking for is called "See what's printing" < this window should open up whenever I print something but it stopped showing up. The only way I see this window, is like in the method you provided: open it manually through the control panel, and I can't find any setting that tells whether to show it automatically or not.
