I made custom icons for my desktop apps with the really awesome program OblyTile and slightly modified versions of these icons. I mostly use the start screen like I used the start menu in Windows 7: mostly shortcuts to folders/libraries and semi-commonly used programs.

Can you please tell me how you modified those icons? I'm using the same and i'm looking for probably the same modification; I like the icon in the tile smaller than the original.

Your screenshot looks like you did the trick.

I read carefully ;) Maybe you misunderstood what i meant.
He is using the icons made by DaKirby309 (see his link "these icons") with Oblytile. The original icon's are allot bigger (with bigger i mean the logo inside the tile) then his icons in his screenshot. So probably he has found a way to shrink these logo's.

I like to know how he did it.

I already know the app OblyTile which is a great app b.t.w.

Good info!

Always good to know a few extra details. Sorry I got it wrong.
There are too many ways to tell how he did it.
You can use any program that can resize pictures/icons. I've used GIMP for the same reason and always worked.:)
Cool Solutions: Gimp Tips Part 1: Resizing Images
You can even save as *.ico (icon) format if needed.
Then put the resized versions in OblyTile. (unless OblyTile has an option for resizing ;))

Thanks for the tip! Only it's not that the image size is different but the icon inside the image is smaller. Probably someone edited this for all the icons and put theme somewhere online. So it's easy for me to download :D

We will see hopefully Joga is reading this thread :D

Thanks for the tip! Only it's not that the image size is different but the icon inside the image is smaller.

It's similar:
You scale the layer in the image and it's fixed. :)
You get the needed empty space around the icon (layer).

Hope someone will give you a link with the mods if this is too hard.
