If I have the correct post(s) to which you refer, they are using third party clocks. I don't think, so far, there is anyway to move the built in Metro clock around the screen.
Right monitor is on a Marshall speaker cabinet, which is lower than the desk that the left monitor is on. In the real world, the wallpaper lines up smoothly to the eye. Set with Display Fusion:
