With Microsoft buying out Skype we're more then likely to an integration with the new OS. Originally intended to compete with other phones running google voice. MS makes the attempt to better there win7 OS phones. More than likely tho with the purchasing of Skype MS may take on it's own way and rename it to possibly "Sky Net". Any comments concerns or anything you'd want to see with future of windows and Skype?

I highly doubt an integration this late into the game, but I can see further plugins and applications based off the skype software.
Unless they have a M4. If we do get a Beta soon then maybe Skype will be integrated with a Service Pack?

My money's on Skype being merged with Live Messenger 2012. Not that I'll see the benefit, I hate 2011, and I can't see them undoing that, but honestly the one thing Messenger does badly is VOIP, so hopefully this merger can change that.

I can see Skype becoming "Windows Live Phone" or along those lines.

Well "Windows Live Call" is already in the messenger suite, it's the underlying program for Messengers (bad) VOIP service. Possibly it will become it's own product, or integrate it into Messenger

Nope, MSFT won't integrate Skype in Windows 8.

I thought Windows Live Call was removed from their newest Windows Live Essentials Suite.
