PC Hardware for Windows 8

So what will happen to the old hardware that was only supported by beta drivers for windows vista?

Such as the Nvidia 5200 and 5500....

Will the vista drivers still work?
 
Hmm... According to the rumor, the new UI will take 128MB of video RAM... taking that into considertaion

Minimum : (x86 only)
Intel P4/AMD Athlon 1.5 GHz
2 GB of RAM
20 GB of HDD space
256 MB of dedicated Video Ram with DirectX 10 compliant card

Minimum : (x64)
AMD Athlonx64/Intel Core 2 Duo 1.5 GHz

25 GB of HDD space
256 MB of dedicated Video Ram with DirectX 10 compliant card

Windows 8 to have same system requirements as Windows 7 | Windows 8 Beta
 
If they want to sell windows 8, I would think they would make it compatable with as many machines as possibe. I would also agree that if you can run 7 well, you'll be able to run Windows 8.
 
I would think so. I believe 8 will just have some refinements over 7, with the ability to run well on different platforms (their real reason to make it). A Guy
