Hello Wiley, and welcome to Eight Forums.
Yep, Microsoft accounts require passwords and cannot not have one.
As phailyoor posted above, you could add a local account for them to use without creating a password for them. Since you will multiple account, you might also consider using OPTION ONE in the tutorial below to always show all users at sign in to make it easier.
