How can I make IE 11 ask me to remember my password for G-mail?

I've not tired Gmail, but if the problem is what I think it is, I don't think there's a way.

I have the same problem with Duolingo, but was unsuccessful in finding a way to get Internet Explorer to save the username and password. I can only assume there's something peculiar with the way Google do their sign-ins.

Thanks for the reply ARC1020. It use to work, but lately it would only put in my username and not the password. It was listed in my credentials list. So I thought that if I deleted it from the list that it may ask me, but it didn't. I'm thinking of changing my password to see if that will work.

If it used to work, then it sounds like it could be something different to what I was referring to.

You could try Option Two in Brinks tutorial. If you remove all stored passwords for all websites, it should reset all the sites including ones you previously clicked "Not for this site" on and start asking from scratch again.

It's a bit of a pain if you have lots of websites stored in Credential Manager, but from IE10 on Windows 8, it's an all or nothing setting as you can't even try to just find the hashed URL's in the registry and delete the individual registry entry.

If then it still only autocompletes the username, but not the password, then I don't know. As with Duolingo, I never got to the bottom of it and just use a third-party Password Manager.

Thanks again ARC1020. I don't think I want to do that and remove all of them. Maybe something will show up.
