Solved Outlook rules not working

Hi,

I am using Outlook 2010 and some rules don't work. I really have no idea why, as they all have the same settings? (I basically created all the rules in the same way from the inbox.)

Can anybody help please? It is annoying to have to move emails manually and there are also emails from people I don't want to see on a regular basis, only when I am in the mood...

Thank you!

Paul

Make sure "on this computer only" isn't checked, don't ask me why but that option gets added by the wizard and messes things up. Also make sure "and stop processing more rules" isn't checked, that's another one added by the wizard.

Thanks for the reply. :) Is there a way to disable "and stop processing more rules" without deleting the rule and recreating it from the inbox instead of using the wizard? I don't have any emails for some of these rules right now, not any I could right-click on to create a new rule after deleting the old one.
Thanks again.

If you go into Manage Rules, you can select Change rule and select edit rule settings from the dropdown menu. Then just remove the checkmark next to what you don't want in the rule. Click next and then finish. It's like running the wizard again but just changing some settings.

Thanks, but in my version of Outlook there is no option to change that particular option (stop processing more rules). There are many other options, but not that one. :(

Can you elaborate on that? It's not listed as an option or you can't deselect it? For me its only visible on the second set of options, the Select Actions screen you when you click next. I'd post a screen shot but its not working right now? I can't upload my screen shot?
