Open file location does not work on all files

Hi, I have had an option on my files and folder on Windows 8.1 x64 in the past that allows me with a right click to go to the file's location easily. After following the guide here I could not get it to work on all files. I have tried using tools from here and here to do this from here however none of them work.

Methods used so far with no success:

• Registry edits as per the Shawn Brink's work on the sevenforum here (same as the one mentioned above)

I noticed this strange behaviour on same file types and different ones as well. Windows installation was clean and done a few days ago. Also tried a dism /restorehealth and sfc /scannow for corruption and all come back clean. This is not a windows corruption problem.



Any help would be appreciated!
