You need to give more details really. What file does it say is missing or corrupted?

If it was me I'd take it back and exchange it.

Millions of people have installed Office 2013 so I hardly think the installer is the issue. You may have a bad disk, it happens. As Adamf said, take it back and exchange it.

As for providing more details, when you attempt to install and get the message that a file is missing or corrupted, tell us which file it is. A screen capture of the error message would be very helpful.

Hi there
Check

1) is any previous version of office installed --even a demo --uninstall
2) Check that you are not installing a 64 bit version of office on a 32 bit only machine or a version of windows that's 32 bit.
3) extract all the files to a directory on HDD and install from there.

Cheers
jimbo

When you bought Office 2013, did you get a download link and a license key? From your post about "fake CD", sounds like you tried to make your own install CD. Since you have a valid license key, you should go online, download the file from MS, and install from that.
