I'm kinda averse to people treating the look of a Metro app as just another thing they can jam into the desktop environment - keeping some semblance of cohesion in the desktop would be nice. MetroTwit was bad enough since it's a third-party app, then Microsoft jumped on the wagon with Device Center and now Office.

I thought when they said Office was going Metro they meant it'd be an actual Metro app, not just a desktop app with all the window dressing painted white.

I guess we will get that when they release it. this is just a technical preview so maybe its not complete yet.

Yeah, it's not complete, but it's not like going from desktop app to Metro app is a flick of a switch. If it's a desktop app painted white now that's what it'll be on release.
