Hey guys new to the forum so let me start by saying and thanks for even looking at my thread! So here's my situation. I have above graphics card and all was well when on win 7. But now that im on Win 8.1 pro X64 my display going out to my sony bravia tv no longer works. I tried the display on duplicate and extend and all i get on my tv is a blank screen.(I've tried multiple drivers and beta drivers but still no luck) I'm not the saviest computer guy but i manage most of the time, so if helping please give good details so i can do it. any other info you need about my pc justy ask and i will gladly provide.

Hi bambam1978 and welcome to the forum. Are we talking HDMI here? Also what kind of puter? Do you also have Intel integrated graphics? More system specs would help.

Let me say thank you for replying first. It is through my HDMI port from my graphics card to my tv.(cord works i tried it on dvd player) The only other thing I can tell you is my processor is an AMD Athlon II X4 640 3.00 GHz, 8GB RAM, Win 8.1 pro X64 any other info you need you may have to tell me how to get it for you. Sorry about that.

Yea, in these situations it really helps to have the details. Is probably driver or BIOS issue but need the motherboard info to really help. Tomorrow then.

ok found the book for my motherboard its a gigabyte GA-MA785gm-us2h. Thats what my GeForce 550 GTX Ti is plugged into hope that helps.

I have 337.50 and all my gigabyte drivers are up to date. I'm just about to try the method from the nvidia forum you posted i'll let you know after im done.

I have a 580 and my third display is a Sony as well. If you are only using the Win-P combination, it should work, but go directly to the old way and check your settings through the desktop resolution window. Make sure your system even sees the TV. If it's not shown, then I would try a different cable, different HDMI port on the TV etc.
