No sound

I found out it is just a driver problem... Realtek hasn't released the drivers for Windows 8 so Win8 is using the Microsoft drivers which aren't always the best. Hibernating wasn't a problem for me because that's basically what hybrid shutdown was. So as long as I didn't restart I don't have to hibernate and log back in.

Have you tried this driver? http://www.eightforums.com/sound-audio/6841-latest-realtek-hd-audio-driver-version-windows-8-a.html

I have and that's the one that's giving me the issues to be honest :p

Hi Eve,
I can only suggest you to try davehc's solution( version R263), I solve the driver problems by trial & error method, good luck.
