no sell in ebay

Can anybody help with this annoying situation please . When I access Ebay and try to sell, it now refuses saying " You need to change compatibility mode . simply by clicking on icon on toolbar , but in win 8 I do not have this icon and cannot find anyway to change compatibility mode , Any ideas please.

Try this. On the Ebay page, press F12 and scroll down the menu that appears until you get to Emulation (it's the last option). You will see an entry User Agent String: which will show Default as its value. Click on the drop-down box, and you can pick other options, such as Internet Explorer 8 etc.

You have to be using the desktop version of IE, not the Full screen version.

There are two versions of IE, the desktop version and the full screen version. Use the desktop version.

A fix: use the Classic Start Menu from Classic Shell - Start menu and other Windows enhancements and it'll give you the normal start menu\programs where you will find the normal IE. And you can choose to completely avoid the Modern (aka Moron) phone\touch UI and boot direct to desktop. And\or you can install Firefox Mozilla ? Home of the Mozilla Project, which AFAIK has none of these 'emulation' issues. Good luck.
