Backup Progress
We've added a live backup total progress bar to the Reflect task bar icon.
Backup blocked
A few customers have noticed backups hanging after completion which could prevent the next backup from starting. We've improved the communication between backup instances to prevent a potential race condition.
ReDeploy
Some customers have noticed poor CPU performance after redeploying to new hardware. ReDeploy has been improved to only reset CPU drivers if a CPU change is detected

Legacy MBR Systems
For MBR Windows 10 systems the 'Create an image of the partition(s) required to backup and restore Windows' now includes the Windows Recovery partition.
MBR systems using BitLocker for the Windows volume would require running 'Fix Windows boot problems' after a 'live' BitLocker restore. This has been resolved.
UEFI System detection
The Windows 10 2004 (May) update caused legacy MBR systems to be detected as UEFI. This has been resolved.
File and Folder Backup
File and Folder 'Folders to exclude' now permits trailing backslashes.
Rescue Media Builder
RMBuilder now prevents the boot menu being set for PE 3.1 on UEFI booting systems. PE 3.1 is legacy MBR only.
RMBuilder would incorrectly report that not enough free space was available when using 1GB flash media. This has been resolved.

Restore/Clone
We've added a new confirmation prompt when extending a partition beyond 2TB on an MBR disk. Extending beyond 2TB will cause the disk layout to be converted to GPT format and will cause MBR system disks to be non-bootable.
In the rescue media, we've also added a warning to indicate that disks converted to GPT will not be accessible by Windows XP and Server 2003.
When copying an MBR 'Active' partition to an existing non 'Active' partition the target partition may not get marked 'Active' after restoring. This has been resolved.
Automatic system restore for 32 bit systems
If initiating a system restore in Windows causes the boot menu to be automatically added then, for 32 bit systems, local NIC and mass storage drivers may not be copied. This has been resolved.
Changed Block Tracker
Fixed a permission issue that prevented the Encrypted File System (EFS) from encrypting some files on volumes that were formatted while CBT was active.
Improved compatibility with Windows 10 build 2004.

After performing a restore of a non-system volume for which CBT had been enabled, CBT could become disabled on that volume and would not re-enable until the system had been restarted. This has been resolved. Email Notifications

When removing a USB attached storage device, an APC_INDEX_MISMATCH BSoD could be generated if there was an outstanding kernel lock on the device. This has been resolved.

On some systems, CBT could execute the wrong notification handler in response to a malformed notification. This could result in the following bug checks: MULTIPLE_IRP_COMPLETE_REQUESTS, KERNEL_SECURITY_CHECK_FAILURE or ATTEMPTED_WRITE_TO_READONLY_MEMORY. This has now been resolved.
Macrium Task Scheduler
Scheduled VBScript files could fail with error code 0xC1 instead of running. This has been resolved.

Macrium Task Scheduler
If a scheduled backup was missed without the option 'Run the task as soon as possible after a scheduled task is missed' enabled, then the Run Now button would stop working until the PC was restarted. This has been resolved.
Scheduled backups running on startup were starting too quickly, without giving network connections time to initialise. This has been resolved.
The Macrium Task Scheduler now keeps extra copies of its internal configuration files to prevent failure on corruption.
When trying to import a scheduled task with a definition file path that doesn't exist, Reflect will now prompt to Browse for a different definition file.
Rescue Media Builder
The Windows Version of the WinRE kernel could be incorrectly displayed. This has been resolved.
Reflect Monitor
ReflectMonitor.exe could fail to launch at logon and prevent notification of running backups. This has been resolved.
Backup Log
A Consolidation 'Warning' error could override a 'Failure' error for a backup and incorrectly display a Warning icon instead of Error. This has been resolved.
License Key
We've added 'copy' functionality for the license key displayed in the About dialog

Macrium Task Scheduler
Scheduling a backup to run as a specific user would sometimes prevent the Power Saving options from working correctly. This has been resolved.
Under certain circumstances, restarting Macrium Service would cause the Macrium Task Scheduler to stop running for around a minute. This has been resolved.
Schedule start dates can no longer be set later than the year 2999.
File and Folder Backup
Deleting a backed up folder and creating a file with the same name as the deleted folder mid backup set could cause a File and Folder backup set to fail to load. This has been resolved.
Changed Block Tracker
We've changed Windows event ID 13 - "IOCTL_MRCBT_QUERY_VOLUME_TRACKING_INFORMATION failed on device" to be Informational.
Exchange backup
Exchange backup was not checking for missing DB files to ensure a DB was available for backup. This has been resolved.
Mixed case database filename extensions could cause databases to not be backed up. This has been resolved.

Macrium Task Scheduler
Under Edit Defaults > Scheduler, we've added a checkbox to prevent the system from sleeping while scheduled scripts are running. Sleep is always prevented while the backup itself is being taken, but this checkbox will also prevent sleep while the rest of the script is running.
When waking the computer from sleep, or booting up when Windows Fast Boot is enabled, missed scheduled backups would start running immediately without giving the user time to log in and view the Postpone Backup pop-up message. This has been resolved.
On some desktops, the 'Start the task only if the computer is on AC power' option would prevent scheduled backups from running even though no battery was present. This has been resolved.
Rescue Media
If the ProgramData folder and the Reflect installation folder were on different drives, then Reflect would be unable to download Windows PE. This has been resolved.
Backup_running
A failed backup, due to power failure or removing the target drive, could cause the next backup to fail by detecting, but not deleting, the 'backup_running' mutex file. This has been resolved.
viBoot
viBoot can now handle images of system disk with 4K sectors.
Retention Purge
"Run purge before backup" could cause the current set Full backup to be purged when running a Diff or Inc. This has been resolved.
MIG - Server Plus
SQL backups to MIG protected network shares is now supported.

Macrium Task Scheduler
A scheduled backup that sleeps or hibernates the PC after completion could wake the PC a short time after completion. This has been resolved.
Missed scheduled backups for the same backup definition may not honor the Full/Diff/Inc order of precedence when starting causing an Incorrect number of backups to run. This has been resolved.
Retention Purge
Differential retention could report an incorrect number of Differentials found in the backup log. This has been resolved.

Reflect UI Font
We've changed the menu fonts used in v8.0 to be the same face and point size as in v7.x. A future update will add additonal configuration options.
Main Toolbar
The main application toolbar can now by hidden to save space. Take the 'View' > 'Toolbar' menu option.
Log View
To save screen space, we've added a Show/Hide button for the filter options in the Log View.
Logs were not being purged on startup when the retention was set for zero days. This has been resolved.
We've resolved a crash when loading log files that are empty.
File and Folder
File and Folder backups could incorrectly report access denied for some files when backing up. This has been resolved.
The copied files list now shows Modified and Created dates in local time rather than UTC.
Installer
The 32 bit installer could crash unexpectedly on some systems. This has been resolved.
Password Reveal
Password reveal box now supports Windows Hello PIN authentication..

Scheduled Backups View
A rare program error could occur in the schedule history view when retrieving audit history records. This has been resolved.
UI Improvements
Some Windows installations, including, but not limited to, Japanese and Chinese traditional, could substitute the UI font with an incorrect typeface. This has been resolved.
Image Guardian Event Viewer did not correctly display Warning icons. This has been resolved.
Technicians License
The Technicians Portable application could display an incorrect expiry date in the application title bar. This has been resolved.
Batch Backups

BitLocker Restore
We've resolved a problem that caused partitions encrypted with BitLocker to fail to be restored if the BitLockered partition wasn't the first partition in the restore sequence, and a 'BitLocker live'restore was initiated. We recommend re-building your rescue media if your system uses BitLocker encryption, or if you're unsure.

Cloning
When running clone jobs in 'batch' mode the clone dialog would incorrectly be shown at the end of the job. This has been resolved.
The taskbar icon could be hidden for scheduled clone jobs. This has been resolved.
Windows PE
If Windows PE has a low horizontal screen resolution of 800 pixels or less, then the restore/clone dialog could be 'clipped', rendering the 'Finish' button inaccessible. This has been resolved.
ReflectUI.exe
ReflectUI could generate a program error on Windows 8.1 and Server 2012 and cause multiple icons to appear in the notification area. This has been resolved.
Backup to DVD/CD
Reflect could generate a program exception when ejecting optical media at the end of a backup. This has been resolved.
File and Folder Backup
When searching password protected/encrypted File and Folder backups, the entered correct password was rejected causing the search to fail. This has been resolved.
Retention Warning
The backup completion warning, when the retention purge deletes all backups prior to running the backup, wasn't being suppressed if the retention rules were explicitly set to retain 1 Full. This has been resolved.

Windows PE
When mapping a network drive in WinPE/RE the error "A specified logon session does not exist. It may already have been terminated." could be encountered. This has been resolved.

Log View
Log Files View would crash if a completion message exceeded 255 chars, this has been resolved.
UI Theme
Some Edit controls in viBoot would fail to respond to mouse interactions when using dark themes. This has been resolved.
When using the light theme, some UI elements would incorrectly display a dark grey overlay. This has been resolved.
Consolidation
The standalone consolidation tool 'Consolidate.exe' rejected correct passwords for password protected backups. This has been resolved.
A rare condition could cause consolidation to fail with a 'Bad file descriptor' error. This has been resolved.
Backup File Name
When an Incremental or Differential had no backup set to append to and created a Full, the {BACKUPTYPE} Parameter would be incorrectly replaced with the requested type rather than 'Full'. This has been resolved.
A backup set with alternative locations, where the Full backup was created with Macrium Reflect v7.2.4732 or earlier, could cause the backup file name to exclude the default Image ID and target the wrong directory. This has been resolved.
We've added a 'Collision Sequence' number that persists for a backup set when the Full backup has the same name as an existing backup. This ensures that backup sets with similar names and no unique prefix, can be easily identified by file name.
VBScript Generation
The auto generated VBScript source template failed to run with a code syntax error. This has been resolved.
Scheduled Tasks
In some circumstances, when editing non SYSTEM account scheduled tasks, Reflect would ask for a username and password even when one had already been provided. This has been resolved.
Restore
The locked drive dialog incorrectly showed drive 'X:' rather than the locked volume when prompting to restore using using the rescue media. This has been resolved.
When launching a restore from an image file in Windows Explorer, the restore Wizard would be suppressed for the first run after a reboot. This has been resolved.
The Restore/Clone automatic resize was not locking the size of MBR WinRE recovery partitions. This has been resolved.
Existing Backups View
The Existing Backups view could become unsynchronized with the "Folders To Search". This has been resolved.
Backup Definition Rename
Renaming a backup definition file could lead to an abnormal Reflect termination. This has been resolved.
Renaming a backup definition file could cause the next definition in the list to incorrectly show the name of the file just renamed. This has been resolved.
Network Path Auto-Complete
A long delay could be encountered when entering a UNC or network share path as a backup path. This has been resolved.
Server Plus
When backing up Microsoft Exchange the incorrect databases, intermittently, could be listed in the backup summary. This has been resolved.
Exchange backups could fail with: "One or more files failed the copy process" if the database path uses a different case to the defaulted case. This has been resolved.
viBoot
The network adapter settings in the create VM wizard could be incorrectly hidden. This has been resolved.
