Solved New computer Windows 8.1 takes 7 minutes to open!

Are you ready for this????? After disabling most everything you suggested I am now rebooting at
1 min 45 seconds!!!!! When we started it was taking 7 minutes to reboot.... I can't tell you how HUGE this is. I would get so mad that it was taking so long.
I can't find Flexera anyplace on my puter. So must have disabled it ...or deleted. It was nothing I would ever use.

Should I disable the Bonjour service too?????

I am still keeping AOL. I keep thinking they will clean up their act and fix AOL once and for all. Plus I am paying $11 a month for it, just so i can ask questions when something fails. BUT when it works it's great.
I did disable 8 AOL shortcuts

Bonjour is part of Itunes apple software. If don't use ipad, iphone then you can disable it or even uninstall it.
Glad to hear that it's getting better.

hey, you still need an SSD.. anything over 20 seconds is ridiculous in 2015..

here was one of my older computers.. with SSD.. sorry it's a blurry video but you get the point.. 17seconds flat and ready to start any program.

Great to here Eileen, your welcome ! Flexera was either bundled into some other software or standalone, shows as a installshield or software licensing updater.

Your choice on AOL but i especially do not feel paying for it is worth it, as i knew many who did pay and it was useless as it is a free program, you are only paying them for support and from what i remember support is bad. Main reasons i mentioned about it, for one a resource hog when running, security risk and can do all same you do on software as you can here, e-mail,chat,instant message, look at news articles and text people too. AOL - News, Sports, Weather, Entertainment, Local & Lifestyle

As far as everything else after all done should use this free program clean history,cache and temp files regularly https://www.piriform.com/CCLEANER Also now after uninstalls of software and do a Defrag for Hard disk drive or trim for Solid State Drive.

If need to uninstall more this is a better program to use, gets the most leftovers out of system plus in the registry Download Revo Uninstaller Freeware - Free and Full Download - Uninstall software, remove programs, solve uninstall problems
