Good evening. I have some Linux files (documents and photos) that were saved on a USB stick on a Linux Ubuntu Computer.
I need to find a way to read them on a 8.1 Pro Windows. Any help would really be appreciated.

What program or application was used to create the files? Are they text files, spreadsheet files, word processor files or what?

The documents were created with libreoffice. The pictures were downloaded from a Nikon digital camera and an iPad. Files were downloaded from the internet. The biggest thing I want to save are the pictures. I have them on two flash drives. One is the pictures, docs. Etc which were created on the Linux machine and saved from it. The other flash is files etc that were created on a windows machine, saved to the Linux and copied from it to the flash drive. They all open fine, only those saved directly to the Linux, photos from a camera, those created in Linux or those downloaded to the Linux have the problem. (When I say windows and Linux machine I'm referring to the same machine. I downloaded every thing from Linux and then installed Win 8.1 pro.)
Thanks

i've attached screen shots. It shows the file names but when you try to open the problem occurs.
