Back in 2012, I finally got my new laptop.. Asus K55V.. Windows 8 was pre-bundled with it and no recovery disks were given to me..
.. Last week, I was installing a new update, a brown-out occurred and my computer blacked.. When I turned it on It Gave me this error.*" The Following Pro.. PXE-E61.. PXE-M0F: Exiting PXE.."*
I rebooted and started it again and tapped F2 to open the Aptio Setup Boot.. I found that my boot settings were not changed at all.. My sister also had the same laptop, K55VJ, windows 8.. I made a recovery there and tried recovery on my laptop.. I was excited
but then it couldn't recover it. I still had 1 TB but I tried to CHKDSK /F/R My Hard-Drive claimed to be LOCKED.. I checked my PC using Recovery ISO to see what happened and I saw that my C:/OS was missing and my only hard-drive showing was BOOT(X: )and it only contained 2 MB.. Well before any these happened, I heared some clicking noise while using CHKDSK /F/R.. After I only got one HDD, I checked it using DiskPart and there were no Disks found.. PLEASE HELP ME! I TRIED EVERYTHING IN FORMAT..
OK so in the aptio boot, There were only PXE, Windows Boot Manager, and for the DVD.. After doing CHKDSK /F/R, Windows Boot Manager was missing.. My aptio can still recognize that I have 1tb but the only HDD were showing was BOOT(X: )which only contained 2 MB+
