Need Help ASAP...Recovery Disc

I have a Gateway Laptop NE56R, when i turn it on it does not go pass the Gateway screen. I need to know how to fix this. I dont have recovery disc because it was bought at a pawn shop. What should i do to fix this, or does anyone have recovery disc for it. It is for windows 8 operating system.
