Multiple BSOD crashes every hour

While doing seemingly resource light tasks such as watching a youtube video or listening to soundcloud, I would get BSOD. There are several different ones like the Watch dog one, pfn list corrupt, IRLQ not less or equal, system service exception and a memory dump.

I just did a fresh install of Windows 8 since I thought 8.1 was causing the issue. It started up around the time I upgraded to it and has gotten progressively worse.

Using an AMD HD7870 with the current non beta drivers. It caused it with the beta driver as well.

I checked all the RAM (4 sticks of 4) and they all worked individually.

What should my next step be?

Thanks!

Only 118 Windows Updates installed. Most systems have 160 or more. Please visit Windows Update and get ALL available updates (it may take several trips to get them all). There are numerous Windows Update failures listed in the WER section of the MSINFO32 report.

Device Manager shows problems with this device:
BCM920702 Bluetooth 4.0 USB\VID_0A5C&PID_21E8\00027232AFFA The drivers for this device are not installed.
Bluetooth device drivers are critical in Windows 8 and 8.1 - they must be compatible with the version that you have. Please download and install the latest, Win8 compatible drivers for your Bluetooth device.

Out of 8 memory dumps there were 5 different BSOD error codes. The differing error codes are usually symptomatic of a lower level problem within the system. They are usually caused by one of these things:
- borked (broken) hardware (several different procedures used to isolate the problem device)
- BIOS issues (check for updates at the motherboard manufacturer's website)
- overclocking/overheating - You'll know if you're overclocking or not. If uncertain we can suggest things to check.
- compatibility issues (3rd party hardware/drivers)
- low-level driver problems
- or even malware (scanned for when we ask for hardware diagnostics from Initial Hardware Diagnostics or Hardware Diagnostics ).

You can get a head start on the hardware diagnostics if you'd like - they are located here: Hardware Diagnostics

Please update these older drivers. Links are included to assist in looking up the source of the drivers. If unable to find an update, please remove (un-install) the program responsible for that driver. DO NOT manually delete/rename the driver as it may make the system unbootable! :

IT IS CRITICAL TO UPDATE THIS DRIVER:
iaStorV.sys Mon Apr 11 14:48:16 2011 (4DA34CF0)
Intel Matrix Storage Manager driver (base) (now is the Rapid Storage Technology (RST) driver)
http://www.carrona.org/drivers/driver.php?id=iaStorV.sys

If all of this doesn't stop the BSOD's, please run these free hardware diagnostics: Hardware Diagnostics. Let us know the results and we can move on from there.

It started happening literally 10 minutes after I posted that it stopped. Ran the memtest and found one bad stick. Hopefully that's the end of it!

Thanks!

They always act up when you think that things are fixed!

I'm glad that you found the bad stick and hope that replacing it fixes all the problems.
Good luck!

I just noticed that when editing photos in Lightroom that some of the photos get corrupted. It turns out it could be because of my HDD. Is there a good usb bootable HDD test? Don't have a CD.

Another thing that hasn't been fixed is when I minimize chrome and then open it back up, it looks like this:

You can run the Seagate SeaTools test from within Windows: SeaTools for Windows | Seagate

For Chrome:
- try uninstalling it, then install a fresh copy.
If that doesn't fix it, then Please do the following:
- open Event Viewer (run eventvwr.msc from the "Run" dialog))
- expand the Custom Views category (left click on the > next to the words "Custom Views")
- right click on Administrative Events
- select "Save all Events in Custom View as..."
- save the file as Admin.evtx
- zip up the file (right click on it, select "Send to", select "Compressed (zipped) folder")
- upload it with your next post (if it's too big, then upload it to a free file-hosting service and post a link here).
