Solved MSN Weather broken? (blank pages, Places lost)

Hello everyone, it's a few weeks that this great app behaves erratically (v.3.0.4.214). Confirmed on at least 2 PC's. I open it up and sometimes it won't open at all or minimize unexpectedly. Usually, it does open and the home city's weather is displayed fine. Switch to another place, and there's no weather data at all. Switch back to Home, no data. Many times, favourite places are not retained and deleted.

Does it work ok for you? I've read several similar reports at the Store. Also tried a few suggested solutions (app troubleshooters, cache folder clearing).

Sorry for the double post. Searched a bit more in the forum, and Montenegrina's solution seems to work (thanks M.). Setting the Region/Location/Home Location to United States fixes the Weather app. This would be a bug, hopefully!
