I have a dual head setup and routinely move windows between displays. I use RDP for a lot of things and sometimes two RDP sessions at a time. I haven't been able to figure out how to move an RDP session from one screen to the other. Can someone help me out? This is the biggest limitation preventing me from using Windows 8 Preview on a regular basis.

Please don't use the crap Metro RDP. download and use Remote Desktop Connection Manager from Microsoft

I can't install that until I install .NET 2, but when I go to install any version of .NET it tells me it is already installed. I'm guessing I'm missing something so obvious that when you tell me I'm going to cry.

There's a non-metro version of remote desktop preinstalled. not sure what it's search name is though.
In Windows 7 it's remote desktop connection ( without the manager ) but I can't find it in Windows 8

Have you tried setting the display option (Option from mstsc window) to non-full screen and move the windows as you would say IE window?

Fellow multi monitor pixel lover here :p

Metro apps only run in the "main display" so you can't move the app from one monitor to the other.

However, the remote desktop client comes with Windows 8 and as previously noted can be started by typing "mstsc" on the Start screen (or by hitting Windows + R and typing mstsc in the Run box on the desktop). This will bring up the standard RDP client dialog. After you've established your RDP session, you can use the blue connection bar at the top to "Restore down" the window, then drag it over to the other monitor.

you can use the second monitor to host the start page and run the Metro from there.

Win + Left / Right arrow will move the start page and the metro app to the second monitor
