Not bad compared to the 305,000 that needed help with Windows 7 over at 7F. Of course 7 was released quite a long time ago. :p

Nice spin Tony. Not like there are more Windows 7 users or anything ;)

I thought you'd get a kick out of that. :D

Not sure why more aren't using 8.1 for under-the-hood advantage. If Modern is the reason, they never have to use or see it.

The majority of people go by "they said". In fact, people repeat it so much that it's still "they say". If I didn't go to these forums, I'd still assume Vista sucked. I know from reading that it did suck at 1st, then they fixed it. I think 8 may fall in that category (of course some will disagree, both ways). A Guy

Yeah, "they said"......

Personally Vista sucked for me because Acer only stuck 1GB of memory in this box when it should have been 2. I missed the buggieness MS fixed before I realized that. Then by that time 7 came along. So yeah, bad press is not a good thing.

On the other hand 8 was a marketing blunder along with the likes of the Ford Edsel and the New Coke. They had to fix it with 8.1. Then, they should have called it 9 or something that doesn't tag the number 8 to it.

Even though I liked 8, quite honestly I didn't know how little I liked it until upgrading to 8.1.

I used Vista for quite awhile, wasn't that bad, actually like the visuals on it. New Coke was terrible!

Hi, personally I didn't like Win8. After couple day on it, I upgrade to Win8.1 and I like it. But if I have a non touch screen maybe I will prefer Win7. For sure it's different and you have to be open mind to change from Win7 to Win8.1. Now I have to get myself a new smartphone and I am not sure if you should go with a OS windows or go with my 1st idea android. I will have to do some shopping when I will be back to Canada

Darn, missed the snip :(
