Hi.

I tried to install it on a Dell latitude XT2 with Intel series 4 Graphics.
I do not have the exakt english error, but, I try to translate.

Error

During the registration of one or more components an error has occurred.

The setup will be canceled.

During installation.
Is there a solution?

Did you run the setup as an administrator? Such errors commonly happen when there are not enough privileges for placing files wherever necessary.

Hmmm... From my own experience, if you downloaded the driver from Dell's website, double check whether it's correct file. When you go anywhere off the drivers list, the page switches back to displaying drivers for Win 7 32-bit. I downloaded couple of "bad" drivers myself when completing drivers pack for me Precision machine.

If you downloaded directly from Intel's website, try downloading from Dell's page. I once asked Dell's support whether they do anything to the drivers they publish on their site and a representative said they customize them to work better with Dell's OEM. I'm not so sure about that, but... it's definitely worth a try.

Another thing - many of the setup packages logs their operations - look for this setup's log file and see the error details - that would be very helpful.

Off course not from Dell.
I had downloaded the hacked driver from the first Post.
Yo can not install a genuine Win7 driver from Dell or Intel on a win 8(.1) system.
Also not in a Win7 mode (compatibility mode).

Apologies - I've got obviously a bit confused...

However, I found another solution for installing graphics driver on XT2 mentioned on Dell forums (see here) - you may try whether it works for you in case you haven't tried it yet.

As you see, Dell's support provides it usual talk - "we will produce it soon but don't know when". They do it even for their current offer - e.g. keyboard backlit management for Precision M4800 I have.

I've tried it.
This does not work.
Why the "Systems Management Drivers"?
Or "WinPE Drivers".
Or the 444MB big cab "Driver Pack" with all Drivers ...

I had already installed the Dell driver.
Still, I can not install the video driver.
The original drivers contain a deliberately built-in lock for Windows 8
Only 7 or Vista is accepted.

And the hacked "win8"-driver can not be installed to an end (see #182).
I use Win8.1. Is this a problem?:
As i noticed, intel hd graphics drivers are for windows 8 only, no 8.1 version. Will it be updated ?

terran219 wanted a modified Intel Series 4 graphics driver for his Windows 8 Consumer Preview.
So, I'm going to just leave this here for those who want it. Enjoy.

I've Also uploaded the Intel HD First Generation Driver for windows 8. It's a modified windows 7 driver.
If you have one of these devices and can't install leave a post with your computer model and Hardware ID's.

Install This First: The Custom Certificate Installer
To install the signed drivers run the custom certificate installer I made which is based off of barcher's Post.

I've recently updated my certificate installer to v3.0. This include 2 certificates which allows the updated Mobile series 4 and has some handy options for your pleasures. A WaterMark Removal option has been added for Windows 8 Pro.
~WATERMARK REMOVAL IS BETA. Use at your own risk~

Hi, while you are waiting you can try this driver https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Det...?DwnldID=18402 for 64-bit and this is if you are using 32-bit OS https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Det...?DwnldID=18400. After you download the zip. file right click on it and Unblock it. Then unzip it and run the setup.exe as administrator.

Good luck, werty

Hello Werty,

Unfortunately Intel will never release driver for Intel GMA4500 for Windows 8.1. See the following article on Intel site: Graphics — Microsoft Windows 8* and Windows 8.1* Support FAQ. The driver that gave you is working perfectly on my Dell Inspiron 1545 and Windows 8.1 Update1. You should try it but follow the directions strictly.

Allright i tried these drivers again, but still black road bug in Asphalt8. My driver is Mobile Intel 4 series Express Chipset Family(MS Corporation - WDDM 1.1).

Is there anything I am missing or doing wrong?

Thanks.

What did Royal BNA do to the driver to get it from 64MB to 128MB? It made a major difference for x4500mhd.

I'm trying to compare the .inf or whatever they did with Notepad++ but idk where Royal BNA Setup extracts to, to open the Royal BNA modded inf.

Can someone chime in on this?

HI, thanks for this. Solved my Windows 10 altho it had me downgraded. The other one posted is fine but it always reset after restart because of drivers signature issue so better use this one.

I'm having a problem with downloading the Custom Certificate Installer. Dropbox keeps giving me error 429, and I've been trying to download this for about a month now. I was wondering if it was a problem on my part, and if not, is there another way I could get it?
