I've been using Windows 8.1 x64 on this machine since it was released as an upgrade to Windows 8. It's a full retail license as far as the EULA and Software licensing is concerned. I believe that the license can be transferred to another machine, and that the license is either for 32- or 64-bit versions. I'd now like to use this machine for Windows 10 x64 through a Windows 7 license upgrade.
I wish to install this windows 8.1 on another machine which has a 32-bit processor, and migrate my programs, documents desktop etc - almost all are 32-bit. I am not worried about any 64-bit programs I may have installed.
Any ideas about the best or easiest way of going about this? - Or is it going to be install each bit of software separately, and copy all the documents etc.?
I have the windows 8 product key and the Windows 8.1 x86 pro iso from the Windows media creation tool.
I'd want to create the new clean installation, check it's working, then delete the old one.
