Microsoft says Google trying to undermine Windows Phone

Then you ultimately waste battery life lighting up the screen when a blinky light is taking nominal amounts of battery power. I live by notification sounds if I have anything new that is received.
Well, of course. But if my light is blinking to let me know that I have an email, then I am going to turn on the screen anyway to read that email. So, I don't actually see the point you are attempting to make. However, if I look across the room and my phone is not blinking, then I don't have to get up and check on it. Thus saving me from having to turn on the screen to see if anything new has arrived.

Sound notifications are almost pointless in my house with my kids, my dog, my wife, my tv going, the stereo running or watching a movie.
I see it as either/or. I prefer a sound notification, and checking my lock screen for any new messages or missed phone calls or emails. Blinking LEDs seem something of the flip phone age, or if my PC is asleep. :)

That's why we get choices with our phones. Lights work perfect for me, I wouldn't want it any other way.

A little taste of their own medicine, maybe? This is fine. Can't stand windows8 phones anyway. They can't really expect to get in the game on an equal playing feild at this point...way behind everyone else...plus their history of being a bully to everybody else... They deserve everything Google can throw at them.
