Hello pals, recently as I was multitasking on my HP W8 Pro I found my Metro UI had been corrupted or I might have done some CCleaner corruption ...
Any help?
Thanks for the reply Brink , I tried SFC then Restore and got some kind of error, had to reinstall, lucky me I kept my OS and my files in different partitions.
I wonder if this is related to that "Vanishing Windows Defender Tile"?
With the desktop you can rebuild the iCon cache, I usually use Yamicsoft Windows Manager to do it cos the feature is in their repair center. Maybe that will fix this issue as well? Anyway, With Windows 8 Manager version 1.1.3 and above, there are tools to deal with issues in the Start Screen/Store side of windows 8.
Why don't you download Yamicsoft Windows 8 Manager, it has a 25 day trial I think now, and go into the Windows Store settings:
Try clicking on that very last button standing alone on the right.
If you like, you can use the method in the tutorial below to rebuild the icon cache without having to install or buy any 3rd party program. Not sure if rebuilding the icon cache will help with tiles on the Start screen, but it's certainly wouldn't hurt to try.
