How to Install Media Feature Pack for N and KN Editions of Windows 8 and 8.1

The European N and KN editions of Windows 8 include the same functionality as Windows 8, except for media-related technologies (Windows Media Player, web camera), and certain preinstalled media apps (Camera, Music, and Video). In addition, the KN editions do not include certain preinstalled communication apps (Calendar, Mail, Messaging, and People).
The Media Feature Pack for N and KN versions of Windows 8 will install Media Player and related technologies on a computer running Windows 8 N, Windows 8 Pro N, Windows 8 Enterprise N, or Windows 8 KN, Windows 8 Pro KN, Windows 8 Enterprise KN editions.

This tutorial will show you how to download and install the Media Feature Pack for N and KN editions of Windows 8 to add Windows Media Player and related technologies back.
You must be signed in as an administrator to be able to install the Media Feature Pack.
Here's How:
1. Do step 2, 3, or 4 below for Windows 8 N/KN, Windows 8.1 N/KN, or Windows 8.1 Update N/KN.
2. For Windows 8 N/KN, go to the site below, select the language you want, click/tap on Download, select to download the correct 32-bit or 64-bit .msu file, click/tap on Next, and save the .msu file to your desktop, and go to step 5 below.
- 64-bit Windows 8 N or NK installed = download Windows6.2-KB2703761-x64.msu (78.8 MB)
- 32-bit Windows 8 N or NK installed = download Windows6.2-KB2703761-x86.msu (57.9 MB)
3. For Windows 8.1 N/KN, go to the site below, select the language you want, click/tap on Download, select to download the correct 32-bit or 64-bit .msu file, click/tap on Next, and save the .msu file to your desktop, and go to step 5 below.
- 64-bit Windows 8.1 N or NK installed = download Windows6.3-KB2835517-x64.msu (85.0MB)
- 32-bit Windows 8.1 N or NK installed = download Windows6.3-KB2835517-x86.msu (60.6 MB)
4. For Windows 8.1 Update N/KN, go to the site below, select the language you want, click/tap on Download, select to download the correct 32-bit or 64-bit .msu file, click/tap on Next, and save the .msu file to your desktop, and go to step 5 below.
- 64-bit Windows 8.1 Update N or NK installed = download Windows6.3-KB2929699-x64.msu (85.0MB)
- 32-bit Windows 8.1 Update N or NK installed = download Windows6.3-KB2929699-x86.msu (60.6 MB)
5. Run the downloaded .msu file.
6. If prompted, click/tap on Run and Yes (UAC).
7. Click/tap on Yes. (see screenshot below)
8. Click/tap on I accept. (see screenshot below)
9. When the installation is complete, click/tap on Restart Now to apply. (see screenshot below)
