I've been using flight sim 9 for ages then suddenly I get the box: "Please log in with administrator privileges". I have uninstalled the programme and reinstalled it but the problem is still there. I don't recall doing anything to the computer that would provoke this problem. Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?

It's because of the Windows Update KB3086255. Before running the game open CMD, Start > Type CMD > Right Click > Run As Administrator.
Enter the command sc start secdrv & then try launching the game again, it should work.
If you're running Windows 10 however there's no workaround.

Thank you Vince800 for your reply to my problem. Firstly I hadn't attempted to try Flight Sim for some weeks now as to date I have not received any assistance. Your reply gave me much hope and I decided to test it first to make sure the problem still exists. Unfortunately, all attempts to open Flight Sim resulted in a failure. I then decided to try and uninstall the program and also all recommended procedures refused to uninstall it. To add to the confusion, when I went to the command prompt and right clicked it I only got a box showing mark, paste, select all, scroll and find. It seems I need help in uninstalling the program before I can overcome the privileges bug. (incidentally, I have in the past uninstalled and reinstalled the program twice before in an attempt to fix it).
