Loud fan noise when i start playing any games.

I would like to know how do i reduce the fan noise when i play any games. I doubt its because of there are many dusts in my fan. This laptop is just 1 week old. That loud fan is annoying and worries me and i wonder is there any way i can change the settings of my fan or what do i have to do to reduce the fan noise.

I tried advanced power settings in the Intel Thermal Framework Settings and the system cooling policy and it seems like there is no difference.

I am using HP Pavilion 15 ab-071tx

Intel core 5th gen i7 processor, 2.4Ghz
8GB Ram
GeForce 940M

My bios and windows is all up to date. Any help to the solution would be greatly appreciated thank you.

If new I would consider a replacement. Some laptops are just noisy, yours is pretty high end graphics wise and may need the fan to run at high speed when playing demanding games. They generally don't have the best cooling.

Do you have the latest drivers from HP site? There may even be an updated BIOS that addresses the issue.

Yes my BIOS is all updated to the latest. I really have a large curiosity on what the "Fan always on" settings on BIOS does tbh. I have left it enabled but i am not really sure will it affect my current problem

Well you can change the setting and see. My fan doesn't always run but I don't have the same make/model as you. Have you monitored the temps with something like Speccy and GPU-Z?

Where did you buy it? Have you talked to them? Depending on the way the cooling is designed it may just be noisy no matter what you do.

My AMD R7 have frame rate control and manual fan control in the control panel,maybe you have something similar in the NVIDIA control panel?
In the BIOS you should be able to set fan speed and desired temperature.
Do you have laptop cooler?

The fan speed increases to keep the CPU/GPU temperature low when doing demanding stuff like games.
Some fans at full speed make a more annoying noise than others, but to deliberately slow the fan will result in higher temperatures of your CPU/GPU and that is not good.

In Windows Power Options there maybe a section added by the Laptop manufacturer, in mine you can lower fan usage however that slows the CPU clock down to keep temperatures down instead. Thus less noise but also less performance for games or any demanding application.

Yep, bottom line is some laptops are just plain noisy when playing demanding games. It boils down to the design and they are all different.
