Hi,

Wondering if anyone can help me solve why my audio goes every time I plug in my mouse or external hard drive into one of the usb ports. The only way I can get audio back is by restarting the computer.

I'm running Windows 8 on ASUS UX32VD.

I've gone into Sound settings, Communications tab, and selected Do Nothing. But that's not solved the problem.

Thanks in advance to any kind soul who can shed some light on this!

Gordon

If anyone else has the same problem I found a solution that works for me.

I uninstalled Microsoft update KB2962407 and the sound seems to be working fine now.

Have a read of this thread for more info
