locating correct drivers for Acer Extensa 5620 SD Card

I downloaded the drivers for windows 7 x64bit for the SD card reader in my system.
I have installed Windows 8.1 Pro x64.
I had the same issue with Windows 8 and now that I have settled on 8.1 need to fix my card reader.
Funny thing is that the drivers from Microsoft load (2006) and all devices look fine in Device Manager.

Even after installing the link from Acer and even searching around and getting other ones from Lenovo, HP still no go.

any ideas???

forgot to mention that the system sees a problem...
