Limited Connectivity(Ethernet)

Recently I've kept getting limited connectivity on Ethernet for my laptop in my home and it also takes a while for it to recognize the wired connection. Ive tried reinstalling the drivers for it which does not help and I've checked in cmd config and there is a physical address under the ethernet adapter so I'm not sure why its having this issue all of the sudden.

The same ethernet cord has no issues connecting to my desktop and I did not change any settings on the router or laptop before this occured

Router issue is usually why you get this.

I;'ve already tried to troubleshoot it with my ISP and there were no issues on their side.
The wired connection works perfectly fine on my desktop as well but not on my laptop

Did I mention about if you contacted your ISP? They would have nothing to do with your LAN side of the network.

If your laptop is the one that only has a problem, it could be some kind of third party software that you loaded for handling Wireless Zero config.

Majority of the times it is caused by the Router not letting go of a Lease to an IP, or the end user is doing aome kind of Funky setup. Such as MAC filtering. Some other device on the network is already assigned the IP that the computer was previously assigned.

The other is third party security software, or messed up Winsock or DNS on the computer.

Then how would i go about to diagnose this?
Exactly as I stated. No one but you have access to your computer and router. See post 4.
