I see there is now an official way of changing the icons on user created libraries. It's not available for the standard ones though.

Thanks Shawn. I was pointing out that there is still no official way but nice to know there is a workaround.

Yeah, hopefully they will extend that feature to the default library icons as well in the next release of Windows 8 since it's already in place.
