Latest Version of Malwarebytes

New 2.0.3 RC1 version of Malwarebytes Anti-Malware released. See first post for more details. :)

New 2.0.3.1025 WHQL version of Malwarebytes Anti-Malware released. See first post for more details. :)

I read on their site that a new version will be released before the end of the year with all the GUI changes that are needed.
They worked on this release to correct bugs and non can look at the GUI.

Here is the statement about the next release. Looks like first part of next year. Maybe Beta by end of this year???

We also plan to make some major changes to our user interface (UI) in our next release, Malwarebytes Anti-Malware 2.1.0 which is due out early next year so keep your eye on our newsletter, social networking pages and of course our forums here for more info as it becomes available. We've got some exciting changes in the works, and we'll definitely want to be showing them off as they get closer to completion

Updating Malwarebytes Version

Why is there no direct version update link from the Malearebytes Premium Dashboard or Settings?

I have Malwarebytes Premium, purchased shortly before the change to subscription so I have a lifetime license. I know I can update the version via the link provided in this thread but I cannot seem to find a direct link from the Dashboard, Settings or any of the other tabs. Am I missing something?

I am not talking about updating the database.!

Thanks

Its called "pay back" for all the complaints they got from the new GUI. Get everyone use to the GUI and hit them with a big change.
I think it will be more about additional options to tweak its operations and give the consumer more choice but we shall see. Hope they get a Beta out soon.

The last version had an option under Updates to check for new versions when it checks for def updates.

They just released a new version today and it should show up through Updates very soon.

Over the coming days, if you have the product set to download new versions of Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, you'll be notified of the new version's availability so that you can install it

New 2.1.1.1010 BETA version of Malwarebytes Anti-Malware released. See first post for more details. :)

They are also testing the update process with this release so that is why it is only available though the update process for now.

New 2.1.2.1016 Release Candidate 1 version of Malwarebytes Anti-Malware released.
It will be offered through Updates.

What's New since Beta 2:

  • Fixed the scan hang that some users reported
  • Windows XP users with admin privileges should no longer get the "Run as" prompt to install an MBAM update
  • Reduced the width of the UI for some languages where it was way too wide (Note: there is a known issue where the UI size gets stuck and does not always “snap” back to the default size when you switch back to English, even if you try to manually resize. The fix for this is to Exit MBAM by right-clicking, choosing Exit and then re-launch the program.)
  • Final Change log has been updated and is now included in the installer
  • Tables throughout the program have been improved for better usability
  • The majority of updated translations are now included – thank you to all our community volunteers for your help with this!
  • Minor copy edits

Malwarebytes has a private room called Honorary Members similar to the VIP section on here. This was posted last night.

We posted our RC 1 earlier today--see this post for reference:

https://forums.malwa...se-candidate-1/

However, shortly after that time, we discovered some undesirable behavior with the UI around resizing (I'm sure you've seen comments on this issue in the other threads!).

Because of this, we've essentially dropped our update throttle for this new version down to zero while we investigate and get a fix in place.

This probably means we'll have another RC in the next day or so

New version will show up in Updates when it is ready.
