I use M-8, my McAfee antivirus expires on 6-30-13, I assume at midnight tonight; the free Avast antivirus I installed today does include a fire wall. Will the Windows Defender firewall kick in automatically, or do I install it manually? Thank you. KennyHill

Hello Kenny,

McAfee may have disabled Windows Firewall and Windows Defender, so you may need to turn them back on after uninstalling McAfee.

This release is totally different from 8.0.1497 (Avast 2013). New look, new interface; the works!

This time they didn't offer it automatically and it's set to do it, had to update pedestrian way as soon as I heard of it.
