Latest Realtek HD Audio Driver Version for Windows 8

This did not solve my problem :( Speakers work fine but when I try to use my Beats, the sound is distorted and almost sounds as if it's underwater, UNLESS I specify L or R only on the output.

Yes I do have the jack plugged in to the right port, and I tried to disable the microphone but neither worked.

Any thoughts? I have an Asus Q400A Windows 8 laptop.

my pc errors out and says it cant be installed.

what should I do?

Angela
Win8/64 bit/ 3MBram L3 Cache
aspire v3
intel core i3-3110m
intel HD Graphics 4000
500BG mem

ok I have version 6.0.1.6873
but this is what my enhancement tab looks like now... I have no effects....Why? where'd they go? and how do I get them back? they were also missing in the previous driver - that is why I did the update...

Hi
same as above
just wanna know if it's bug or feature ;-)
Hi Lucido,
Welcome to the forums, uninstall the Realtek drivers, re-boot and let Windows install it's generic drivers and see whether it helps. The attachment is while using generic driver.

EDIT: I have just installed the Realtek driver and it seems OK.

Hi
Thank you for your quick answer
I try yours tips but windows don't detect analog back panel Jacks as speakers, only TV hdmi audio output (if it plugged) or spdif (if it unplugged)
and yes enhancements are presents
To detect speakers I need install realteak drivers (or intel audio drivers) and enhancements gone
too bad

it seems like it has been a long time since an update has been sent out

is that me are our we have concerns about Realtek gong forward

Thank you Mac, and welcome to Eight Forums. First post updated. :)

The R273 RealTek drivers, which are for both Win 7 and Win 8/8.1 change the look of the RealTek HD Audio Manager.

Here are the Screen Shots. The second screen is the option screen and this is accessed by the "gear" icon in the upper right of the main screen. I assume mine shows "ASUS" as that is the motherboard (P8Z77 LE Plus) and the original drivers were from ASUS.

New Realtek 2.74 HD audio driver released. See first post for more details. :)

Until recently I used to use drive booster (never mind who from), it always reported driver out of date for realtek audio, until I realised. Now binned. Thanks Brink

THE link you provided keeps posting to 'Moved to here', but nothing else

its always slow to extract from the server in the uk. i sometimes wait for some well known websites to have it linked to there cloud servers and get it that way.

Clicking on the uk mirror, just flickered the screen and returned me to mirror page. US1 did the same but then connected and its all now installed.

New Realtek 2.75 HD audio driver released. See first post for more details. :)
