New Realtek HD audio 6.0.1.7796 available for 64-bit Windows. See first post for more details.
Epic fail, Brink! The v6.0.1.7796 downloads are listed at MS Update Catalog BUT are either non-existent or have the wrong update IDs - hence error messages are generated when trying to download the actual 7796 drivers from MS.
Contact Microsoft about the problem and error message when downloading the 7796 drivers from MS Update Catalog and have them fix the problem.

AND there are FOUR v7801 downloads (2 for x86/32bit & another 2 for x64/64bit) from Microsoft Update Catalog that actually work, unlike the seemingly non-existent v7796 downloads!

Two NEW v7796 downloads have been recently made available from MS Update Catalog (so there are now 4 of them instead of 2). Only the new 7796 downloads with file sizes of 76.7Mb and 92.4Mb work; the other two (w/ file sizes of 81.7Mb & 113.1Mb) are still broken.
Also, v6.0.1.7806 is available from MS Update Catalog.
