Latest NVIDIA GeForce Graphics Drivers for Windows 8

310.90 is working very well on my ancient GT 430 on Win8 64bit.

It appears it wasn't the drivers at all, more along the lines that my overclock numbers went all bonky as I forgot to put them to defaults at new driver install.

Reinstalled 310.90 drivers, reset clocks to default then back to my OC numbers and all works well now. xD

haha "ancient gt 430".. c'mon dude.. i was still using 7200 GS graphic card even before two weeks, and nvidia still supported it, there's still drivers for it, thats what i call "ancient" :D

On Windows 8 Pro x64 freshly installed, with GeForce GTX 550 Ti, when I install 310.90, I cannot reboot - the screen just keeps black, sometimes even turning monitor on and off. When I get home, I will try reverting to an older driver. However, the strange part is - I have been using the same OS for 3 months or so before and upgraded to 310.90 from the older driver with no problems...

EDIT: Here is some info on the issue: https://forums.geforce.com/default/...ng-/ that's the fix for the flickering screen

EDIT 2 - SOLUTION: I have solved the issue this way:
  1. Boot into Safe Mode
  2. In Device Manager, remove NVidia adapter
  3. Reboot into classic mode
  4. In Device Manager, update the standard Nvidia driver manually - from C:\Nvidia folder\310.90 folder, where the files' got extracted on install.
  5. Reboot

So far, so good:geek:

New NVIDIA 314.07 WHQL video drivers released. See first post for more details. :)

I would currently hold off on the 314.07 drivers as this version appears to be causing widespread issues (according to the GeForce forums).

314.07 prevents explorer.exe from starting, this crippling Windows 8 (this is my experience, a forced start via task manager failed as well).

Returning to 310.90 drivers successfully restored my entire Windows back to working order.
