Latest Intel HD Graphics Driver for Windows 8

New Beta 15.33.0.3496 (10.18.10.3496) Intel® Iris™ and HD graphics Driver for Windows 7/8/8.1* available. See first post for more details. :)

I'm on 10.18.10.3379 dated 12/18/13 right now. Latest I've found that work. Hard to find ones that work with hybrid laptops. Maybe I will try it.

Holy cow they worked! Haven't tested yet but at least it installed no problem, usually crash if a no go. I'm impressed Intel. Seems they are starting to code for hybrid systems more. Maybe due to tablets being hybrid a lot. Whatever the reason, sure makes me happy.

Will report back after some testing.

So far so good. Just tested with Amnesia using Intel then NVidia. Both worked. Sorry, about as intensive graphics game I have. Maybe Alan Wake?

well I have Intel 3000 with this AMD 7690m xt (6770m re-brand) not Gforce, its been nothing short of insanity the past 3 yrs to even find up datable drivers. The last AMD mobility 13.12 (final) did actually install, but only if I left the old HP OEM driver installed. So far at least I have it running and no problems, the Intel 3000 driver I have is the 3347, which also has no problems.

Its why I asked for what generation was this new Intel driver for.

They may work better with Intel/NVidia combo. The release notes don't show HD3000. I had Intel/AMD combo before this laptop and it was a real pain to update so I feel your pain. I think Intel may purposely make it hard for AMD graphics machines.

I have 3347 installed, when I clicked update driver in device manager it came back sayin I already have the best driver?? Windows update doesn't say anything either.

Hello Hoody,

When you update the drive from Device Manager, it's only looking for the latest version already installed on your computer. That's why you're getting that message.

You'll need to download and install the latest version from the link on the first page instead. :)

Yeah OK, but actually the check box on top says search everywhere, disk and internet.

I may wait till AMD gets its latest one out in final, I like to do both. at least I'm happy to know the AMD driver will now install on my OEM machine :)

Yeah, it says that, but I rarely see it actually find anything when used. It always works best to download and install instead. :(

Yeah OK, thanks I may D/L it just to have it.

Just fyi, went and D/L the thing, and installed with no issues.

Today I tried to install the new BETA driver for my Intel HD 4600 Integrated Graphics unit, however, regardless of installation through through my driver with the extracted driver-ware, or through an .exe nothing seems to work.

I either get the "system does not reach minimum requirements.", or "The driver being installed is not validated for this computer. Please obtain the appropriate driver from the computer manufacturer"

At this point i'm at wits end, if anyone could provide some assistance I'd greatly appreciate it.

Thank you in advance.

Just roll back the driver in device manager or uninstall it thru Programs & Features then try a WHQL driver unless u have some specific need for a beta version - if it ain't broke don't fix it. If that doesn't work use system restore to get around the attempted install and take it from there.

I considered doing that, uninstalling what I have at the moment to bypass whatever's keeping me from installing the said drivers, but after some though and seeing the horror stories in response to tutorials that went pretty much like (I broke my computer doing this by following your instructions !1!1!) I decided to abstain.

As for the installations in general, both BETA and Non-Beta drivers would not install, any effort ends in a prompt with an error that claims the driver cannot be installed for reasons such-and-such, and that it will exit out of the set-up now.

I don't necessarily need the BETA, I just thought it would be the best choice as it is the 'newest' driver for download. Nothing seems to be broken, or least nothing at the surface.

I'm just confused as to why my installs aren't compatible with what they were made for specifically, amongst other things.
