Latest AMD Catalyst Graphics Driver for Windows 8

Just installed the Beta2 drivers and got a pop up saying that the AMD OverDrive driver was blocked because it's not digitally signed. That seems a bit weird to me.

OKyyy........ so are these ever going to be supportive of these half breed 7690m XT's and be a replacement driver for the "manufacturer" , so far all I seem to be able to use is the out dated HP sp59850 driver. (at least it works on W8) , AMD still says no support for this card even though it shows 7xxxxm cards listed on the supported list.

I'd just be able to directly download these Radeon drivers right from AMD's download page and NOT have to rely on "the manufacturer"

Yep, and under 8.1 RTM it is a WDDM 1.3 driver and AMD plainly states it supports/requires Win7/8/8.1. Working splendidly with 8.1 RTM.

Best case, then, is never to buy a laptop...!Or, at least, buy a laptop to use in conjunction with a desktop and use the desktop as your primary graphics platform. Most laptops distribute their hardware drivers exclusively through their OEM web sites as opposed to their being made available separately by the respective IHV. Often, laptop vendors buy strange, hybrid gpus from hardware IHVs that are sold as OEM-only and are not available separately to the general public (as are gpus for desktops, etc.) If a laptop OEM ships a laptop with, say, Win7x64 gpu drivers, there's no *guarantee* that he'll ever ship a Win8x64-specific driver, should one be required, for that specific laptop model. This is something you never have to worry about with a desktop. However, I think that AMD is at least *trying* to remedy that situation, but as to how successful they've been I have no idea as I avoid laptops like the plague--for that and many other reasons.

I hope AMD releases a WHQL 13.1X version in hopefully the near future as the last full driver release was 13.4, not really keen on beta drivers.

I was waiting for this one.

Still.... me not using the 13.1 drivers results in a crash of IE 10 while exiting the program. Does anyone recognise this problem?

Hello to the forum.

I have a SONY VAIO laptop (Intel Core i5-430M, AMD HD 5650M).
Because windows 8.1 are coming, a few days ago i decided to move from windows 7 to windows 8.
I have a problem with the GPU drivers. SONY does not provide updated Windows 8 drivers for my Laptop.
I can't install drivers from AMDs webpage also.
Can I use these drivers? If yes, what is the right procedure?

Thx for your time.

Never mind. I looked at the links provided at the threads start and are the AMD's official links.
These are not suitable for me.
