Latest AMD Catalyst Graphics Driver for Windows 8

Any problems with this Crimson update?
Had it installed for 24 hours, so far so good. YMMV

I think my Laptop is doomed to topping out the driver version at 14.x
The autodetect says I have the "latest" when it means the "last" video driver. :)
Hi Miles, and Happy Thanksgiving. I just got home from late shift, sorry for the late reply. I have read this Crimson beta is the last driver and UI for HD8000 and lower(7000, 6000...etc.) I don't game so it's not a problem for me, but for people who do game or graphics work, but can't afford something new, that kinda sucks.

If the information is correct, I don't know, but the 2nd link goes to AMD.
We missed this in the Radeon Software Crimson Edition driver release notes, but it appears that AMD had ended driver support for non-GCN based video cards and older APU’s (Llano, Trinity and Richland). AMD is providing an ‘as-is’ beta version of the new Radeon Software Crimson Edition drivers for those that have an older graphics cards that is still using it on the latest gaming titles or wants to try out the new software utility. If you want to use a WHQL certified driver you’ll be able to use Catalyst 15.7.1 drivers as AMD is going to keep that version around for legacy users. Those running Windows Vista or XP will be stuck using AMD Catalyst 13.12 drivers from two years ago.
If you are a gamer using an older AMD Radeon HD Series Discrete graphics cards it appears that now is the time to upgrade! The good news is that AMD’s legacy drivers for these cards are leaving folks with functioning Windows 10 drivers and that they aren’t abandoning their users. Some of those cards are over six years old, so you can’t say AMD didn’t deliver as we all know cards get retired soon enough.

Happy Thanksgiving.

Same to you. :) I am not a gamer but I hope for the elimination of fuzzy text. The best I have been able to do is use Comic Sans font in my browsers. That seems to produce the crispest text for forums and blogs. Fortunately the font site I use for sources gives it out gratis. :)

Date is different from what I have but the version number is close. I checked to see if I have the latest version according to the auto detect AMD uses and it tells me this is the latest. Is this what anyone else have? Untitled.png

AMD Radeon Software Crimson Edition 15.11.1 Update

A Guy

Well like I said I use auto detect from amd and what I have now is what the auto detect gave me and I've never had a problem with having the wrong update or version since using the auto detect so I think I'm good. Not everyone may have the exact same versions because everyone's computer is different.

I checked with auto detect and it says I have the updated version of the driver and the auto detect utility is updated it seems like (last updated was in September). Should I be worried about this new update that came out today? Does the auto detect not tell you about those new kind of updates that was just posted today?
