Latest AMD Catalyst Graphics Driver for Windows 8

Here is a list of changes in the new drivers that are coming out very soon:
The drivers on the 19th of March will have the following:

VSR adjustments for 290 / 290X,
CFX profiles; Dying Light, FC4, AC Unity (fixed),
FreeSync Support for SINGLE GPU,
Single GPU performance optimizations for various titles,
Frame Pacing enhancements on selected titles,
Driver level frame rate limiter,
UI tweaks,

That's all I have on this latest driver soon to be released.

Omega Phase 2 scheduled for the end of April.

CFX profile for Elite Dangerous is currently being worked on,
FreeSync of Multi GPU's is currently being worked on,
VSR for 280X is currently being worked on,
And I heard that this driver is going to fix the issues for BF4 players and drastically improve their gaming experience.

Mike have you got a Tardis? I thought you were a Count and not a Time Lord.:D
Don't blame me, it's Daleks' fault !!!
Actually it's -14, I was always in advance future mode.

Never fear, the Doctor is here.
Welcome from past/present/future, I'm just an old fashioned futurist. Anyway, MS managed to put up an "updated" driver for W 10 TP with lower dev. number and older date than 14.12 Omega drivers. Hows that for time travel ?

How can you un install the Microsoft driver and keep it from reinstalling? When I uninstall it from Device Manger and reboot, it reinstall it again and I can't stop it.

Set WU on manual, check for updates and hide that driver update, at least for me it never offered it or installed it again. Than you can use DDU, AMD driver uninstall option or just uninstall it from device manager. Than you can install new driver of your choosing. It's better to set WU on Notify only, you will have better control over updates like that anyway.

Sure hope they actually put an update out today. Sure would be nice to be able to use my second GPU with new (6 month old) games like AC Unity and Far Cry 4.

Looks like yesterday's release was pushed back...however, a 15.3.1 press beta leaked out. Looks like it's missing a bunch of CFX profiles. I'm guessing the WHQL drivers will be out sometime next week.

Tried installing that (to replace 14.12) and it failed with error messages -- which I couldn't make out in the log. Rebooted, removed the drivers, rebooted again (to get the default drivers reinstalled), installed 15.3 again -- and this time, it worked without problems.

In the past you used to be able to install over the old driver, but for the last few driver updates, especially beta ones, you need to remove the old drivers to avoid issues. I'm not trying these out, but the last two Cat driver updates required a complete removal of the old ones for me as well.

have had no problem installing over the installed drivers, but than I ONLY use the WHQL

Been doing it that way since AMD "fixed" the installer to be able to use their drivers right from them instead of just the one manufacturer driver (HP) that came with my laptop, it was the only reason I kept this AMD/Intel system, otherwise I was going to Gforce, which did have instalable Drivers right from NVIDIA.

Cool ! It now includes FreeSync for single GPU configurations... :)

PC gaming has always been a contest between GPU rendering and monitor update rates. Even solutions like “v-sync” don’t always fix jerkiness, and come with associated downsides like reduced mouse responsiveness and lower frames per second. AMD FreeSync™ technology resolves those issues, delivering perfectly smooth gameplay and peak performance. Our groundbreaking hardware/software platform, built upon industry-standard DisplayPort™ Adaptive-Sync, enables AMD APUs and GPUs to directly control the update rate of a compatible monitor. The upshot? The monitor updates the moment a new picture is ready, giving gamers unbelievably smooth, responsive, tearing-free games.
