While I know, I don't, why I say this? my hardware ID for the generic PCIe GbE Family Controller is 8168 installed by default, downloaded from realtek site, my board says something else (RTL 8111FR, me thinks is some form of chispet code not necessary what you need to see when you click "Download" button. I did previously ran 8.1 Pro x64, isn't like I am new to moving to this OS but I wanna know if is official supported?

Should be , found a driver for Windows 8.1

latest Win8.1 PCIe LAN driver (8.088) should support RTL8111FR with at least PCI HWID "PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_8168&REV_0B"
