keyboard language missing

Hi Guys,

I have an interesting problem. The language indicator from the right lower corner of the screen is missing. I have tried to rightclick, then go to properties and set the input language indicator to "on" . This resulted that the place popped up where the EN/DE, etc sign should be. Nevertheless, I still do not see the EN sign.... If you have any hints or tips, I would be grateful. Thanks!
