Bought a Lenovo laptop second hand a couple months back and it's been crashing and displaying the above error message pretty frequently, sometimes every couple of days, sometimes a week or so apart. No idea how to go about fixing this. Anyone know what to do?

HDD TEST

   Note

Run the tests on all hard drives/partitions!

Please run HDTune first, in the order posted!

Run HDTune to

• check the health,
• scan for errors, no quick scan but full scan
• run a benchmark.

It may take some time, but please take the time you need to perform it properly.
When above is done please make screenshots of the following

• the health,
• the error scan,
• the benchmark incl. following
  • transfer rate,
  • access time,
  • burst rate,
  • cpu usage.

Run SeaTools DOS to check the integrity of your HDD. SeaTools for DOS and Windows - How to Use - Windows 7 Help Forums
Run the long test.

   Note

Do not run SeaTools on an SSD as the results will be invalid.

Make a photo of the result and post it.

Run chkdsk
Disk Check - Windows 7 Help Forums
Use option TWO with parameter /r
Upload the chkdsk log Check Disk (chkdsk) - Read Event Viewer Log - Windows 7 Help Forums

I've been unable to progress with step two, as when SeaTools loads it says no drives detected for some reason. I tried posting in the thread you linked but it's been over a week and nothing.

There is no record of a BSOD, only that the system shut down multiple times. Was it everytime a kernel data inpage error BSOD?
If so, could you make a photo of the BSOD next time it occurs? There is some information on the screen that is necessary to troubleshoot. This accounts for every other BSOD that occurs in case no information is stored about it.

No problem, could you make a photo of the crashes everytime a BSOD occurs regardless of the error code. That will be an alternative in case there are more problems with dump creation in the future, so I still can provide suggestions to solve your problem.

Please note that I don't provide suggestions without knowing what the problem could be, since there are too many possible solutions and trying them without knowing anything about the problem is essentially wasting time in my opinion.

RAM TEST

Run MemTest86+ to analyse your RAM. MemTest86+ - Test RAM - Windows 10 Forums

   Note

MemTest86+ needs to be run for at least 8 complete passes for conclusive results. Set it running before you go to bed and leave it overnight. We're looking for zero errors here. Even a single error will indicate RAM failure.

Make a photo of the result and post it.

Addition:
If errors show up you can stop the test, remove all sticks but 1 and test this single stick in each slot for 8 passes or until errors show, switch sticks and repeat.
If errors show up and you see them a lot later, no problem, the errors don't affect the test.

If you have time anytime soon, I'd suggest to redo the test because pass 8 wasn't entirely finished yet on your screen (62%).

Have you checked that the drive is properly connected, and as a just in case reconnected the drive?

If you're not familiair with how to check if a drive is properly connected, I would not recommend to do it yourself but let a family member or friend do it instead.

At this moment I would suggest to do a repair install, to see if it fixes issues with dump generation.
