Bird Brain
Not been very good lately, had an Ultrasound scan on my kidneys, bladder and ureters on Friday 3rd January and a CT Scan on Sunday 5th January.
The ultrasound was so rough it hurt my bladder and broke up some of the stones inside. Saturday night Sunday morning I was in terrific pain and got no assistance from the emergency services. Eventually passed a 10 mm stone just before 08:00 Sunday morning. Had the CT scan Sunday afternoon and then my doctor rang me at 09:30 Monday morning. I have a shadow on on one of my kidneys, possibly cancer so now am on the short list to see Urology. I had to see my doctor Tuesday 14th as on the Monday I has some real strange symptoms. Feeling really cold, light headed and exceptionally tired. I thought I had the return of a UTI but apparently it was something else. Some nerve related thing that drinking excessive amounts of water can cause.
Doctor tested a fresh urine sample while I was there and sent it off for more analysis.
The pain has been that bad I couldn't sit in the car to drive but I managed to by rolling a bath towel into a sausage shape and bending it into a "U" shape to relieve the pressure on my ureter as there are loads more stones to come out.
While at the doctor's he showed me the ultrasound report and there are apparently 17 and 23 mm stones in my bladder. I can't see them coming out naturally.
A bit more at ease at the moment waiting for more stones, drinking lots of water with lemon juice, and tea. Well over 2 Litres a day. Apparently the citric acid helps to dissolve the stones.
So not a happy bunny ATM and hoping that things improve quickly.
The whole problem I believe is because I am taking 3 calcium tablets a day.
Trying to catch up on emails.
I hope you are doing better than me.
